The rising stem wedge gate meets MSS-SP70 speciications. Valves are designed to be either in a fully open or fully closed position. Throttling is not recommended. Providing full low in the completely open position, a minimum pressure drop occurs. When throttling is required, a globe valve is preferred with a sacriice of pressure drop.
The positive guiding motion of the ZGV Metal Seated Gate Valve allows the valve to be installed in any position in a pipeline, but it is suggested to install in the vertical position if possible. The usage of ZGV Gate Valves is limitless in commercial and industrial applications of water, steam, gases and general piping. Cast Iron Gate Valves are not recommended for applications of slurry or abrasive service.
